This report released by Trust for America's Health (TFAH), a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting the health of every community and working to make disease prevention a national priority, provides a state-by-state examination of potential deaths and hospitalizations due to a pandemic flu based on model of estimates. TFAH provides a series of detailed recommendations to help ensure the U.S. is better prepared regardless of whether a pandemic occurs as soon as this year or in several years.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
CDC is one of the 13 major operating components of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which is the principal agency in the United States government for protecting the public's health. In addition to the valuable resources on its web site, the CDC also produces the "Pandemic Influenza Update," a twice-monthly newsletter containing the latest information on pandemic flu.
